Get Yourself a Rental Car. A Car, Van or SUV with Air Conditioning and a Roof is a Plus. The Open Air 4 x 4s are a waste in our opinion, since You might only go Dune Bugging one short afternoon and they & You will get wet, dirty and sandy…. Air Conditioning is a must, so again, an Open Air Jeep is only good for a day or so, and then, with the Wind and the Sand blowing all of the time, “The Dirtiest” as well… Check around for prices and make sure before Booking about the Insurance, whether it covers Theft, the Deductable amount $$, etc. In 2009 we found out too late after paying $ 15 per Day Insurance, that it didn't cover Theft and did have a $ 500 deductable... Next time, we will use our World MasterCard which automatically carries a $ 50,000 Theft & Collision Insurance on a Rental Car if ordered with and paid with a World MasterCard. American Express and Visa may as well, but check either way first...
