If You are a Windsurfing or Kiting
kind of Guy or Gal....

Traveling with Children...?

Top Ten Reasons to Visit Aruba

1: Aruba has Great Drinking Water... Aruba has the Best Drinking Water anywhere in the Caribbean and probably in the World. Figure in that you could expect to pay anywhere from $ 10.00 to $ 20.00 per person per day for bottled drinking water at any other Island in the Caribbean and You could easily add hundreds of dollars to your Vacation expenses as well as getting Sick, by not going to Aruba...

2: Aruba is relatively Safe... Due to the fact that Aruba is a small island (about 20 miles long by up to 6 miles wide), almost everyone is impacted by the Island's Tourism Economic Impact (employment or entrepreneurial). There still is going to be petty thievery but as long as you're careful and not try to find yourself in a Dark Alley or leave stuff visible in your Locked Rental Cars, you should be O.K..........

3: Aruba is located about 20 miles North of Venezuela and is outside the hurricane belt! The island boasts year-round great weather and cooling trade winds. Aruba has Awesome weather... almost always with a Blazing Sunshine and a Wind that hopefully keeps it all comfortable .... We typically go out at night with shorts and a shirt... No jacket is ever needed unless You get Cold in the Casinos or are required by a rare Restaurant. Your Biggest Concern should be Sunscreen. The Sun is Very Intense and using anything less then 15, 30 or 45 is crazy, especially with the warnings about skin cancer coming from the Media on almost a monthly basis.... Aruba is a Desert Island which means it is not a Rain Forest Island. Islands that are Flat turn out to be more Desert / Dryer Islands. Islands that are Hilly or Mountainous, turn out to be a Rain Forest kind of Island because it stops or lets the clouds know, that they are traveling across the Island to drop its rain ... The point I am making with this, is that Aruba is a Dryer Island, thus not as many Mosquitoes or Biting Insects = Another Positive Experience...

4: Aruba has a Very Good Medical / Hospital  within 5 and up to 10 miles of basically where 95% of the Tourists Hang Out and Go... We have needed a Pediatrician for our two small children in Aruba during our Annual Vacation there and were quit satisfied with the Professional Attention and Service of our experiences.

5: Aruba's people are Very Friendly... Since almost everyone is impacted by Tourism, You find that almost Everyone is Friendly, thus the Island's Motto stands True.... "One Happy Island"...

6: Aruba has an awesome assortment of Fine Restaurants. I personally would recommend against an All-Inclusive Resort (Room and Food included) because then You the customer, feels like You have to eat at the Resort since you paid for it and not experience the 100+ Fine Restaurants on this Island.... At Aruba Beach Villas, you're able to Cook for yourselves if You Wish and thus save a bit of money on that end... Grant it, the "Fine Restaurants" are typically expensive ($ 75 - $ 100 or more + tip for dinner for two maybe two to three drinks per person), but there are Deals, just like anywhere to be found... and then again, that's Why they call it a Vacation...

7: Aruba is a Dutch Colony, although Aruba continues to exist within the Kingdom of the Netherlands, it functions independently. This is a plus because Holland pours money into Aruba and assist's the Island in it's Long Range Planning when ever possible... There also is a lot of Dutch Students working as Interns in Aruba's Hotels and Restaurants assisting in the Island's Employment needs. This is a plus for the European Markets because in most cases, these kids can speak three or four languages including English in most cases...

8: Aruba's Winds blow Off-Shore... Typically, the winds in Aruba blow Off-Shore of their World Famous Beaches, from East to the West...  The Air that we Breath in Aruba, has Traveled from the African Continent over 3,000 miles of Ocean, being Rained upon / and Filtered on... This Air You are Breathing in Aruba, is as Pure as the Air can be in Today's World and I believe this to be True...  It also means that none of the floating garbage that is generated where ever, floats into the Swimming / Beach areas of Aruba... It's not to say that garbage originating from Aruba, doesn't blow off-shore to where ever... Obviously you can travel to the other side of the Island where the Wind is blowing On-Shore (this side of the Island is the Rough Side and none of the Hotels or Accommodation Rental Properties are located there) and see other Islands' or Countries' or Cruise Ships' Pollution washing ashore, but your going to get that no matter where ever You go... I am an Environmentalist Kind of Guy... Here at our own Cottage Resort in Western New York State our customers and us recycle 95+ % of our Recyclable Garbage (cans, glass, plastics and non contaminated paper)... Aruba is trying to recycle, and so I give them credit for trying...

9: Aruba's has a Modern Airport and connects to many US Cities, South American and European Countries with non stop flights... The Airport is any where from a 5 minute to 25 minute drive, depending on traffic, to 95% of the Tourist Accommodations in Aruba... At the Airport You can arrange quite quickly a Rental Car or Taxi for your commute to your accommodations... I personally recommend a Rental Car for the obvious reasons that you can come and go as you please, and if you come and go more then two or three times in a Day with a Taxi, you more then likely have paid for a Rental Car for the Day... We have found Econo Car Rentals to be the most reasonable folks and your Best Bang for your Money in the Car Rental Businesses of Aruba... Aruba is to the East Coast of America what Hawaii is to the West Coast but with Warmer Water... It is only a 2 & 1/2 hour flight from Miami and about a 5 hour flight from New York or Boston... You can fly out in the morning and be on the Beaches by mid Afternoon... Yeeeeeeeeeeeeee Haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa....

10:  Daytime View from an Ocean view Room / Deck at Aruba Beach Villas... You forget about Everything, You forget about time.... Enjoy.........
